This is a narrow-growing, columnar conifer with blue-grey foliage that is suitable for use as a screen or windbreak. Once established, it is drought-tolerant and rarely requires pruning. However, it does require full sun to thrive. Juniperus scopulorum is evergreen and native to western North America, from southwest Canada to the Great Plains of the United States.
