Walnut ‘Wilson’s Wonder’
English Walnut
Walnut ‘Wilson’s Wonder’ is vigorous and starts bearing at a young age, producing large thin-shelled nuts with a sweet flavor. It thrives in free-draining soil and begins to bear walnuts at around three years old. The nuts are brown and encased in a green husk. While self-fertile, planting with another walnut cultivar like Walnut ‘Meyric’ or Walnut ‘Shannon’ can lead to better crops. Walnut is deciduous and native to the region stretching from the Balkans eastward to the Himalayas and southwest China. Learn more about Walnut.
