Idesia polycarpa ‘Female’

Idesia polycarpa ‘Female’ has a tiered horizontal branch structure and a broad crown. It produces red berries in autumn, but requires the male Idesia polycarpa ‘Male’ for pollination. Both male and female forms produce small, yellow-green flowers during the summer. In the autumn, the leaves of Idesia polycarpa ‘Female’ turn yellow, adding to its aesthetic appeal. Idesia polycarpa is deciduous and native to China, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.
