Additionally, Fraxinus excelsior ‘Purple Spire’ can tolerate strong winds, making it a durable option for a variety of environments. Fraxinus excelsior is native throughout mainland Europe, Britain, and Ireland. ‘Purple Spire’ was developed by Frank Goeddert of Frank’s Trees in Nelson, New Zealand (PVR 2984).
