Feijoa sellowiana ‘Kākāriki’ produces large and very sweet fruit that is typically harvested in early to mid-autumn. It also produces beautiful red flowers from late-spring to mid-summer. Feijoa sellowiana ‘Kākāriki’ is coastal and wind-hardy, making it an excellent choice for hedges and screens. While it is partially self-fertile, better crops are achieved when planted with any other feijoa cultivar. Feijoa sellowiana is evergreen and native to the highlands of southern Brazil, eastern Paraguay, Uruguay, northern Argentina, and Colombia.
