Feijoa sellowiana ‘Gemini’
Feijoa
Feijoa sellowiana ‘Gemini’ is a high-yielding cultivar with an upright, spreading growth habit. It produces small to medium-sized, oval-shaped fruit with very smooth, thin skin and excellent flavor and texture, typically harvested in early-autumn. Feijoa sellowiana ‘Gemini’ also produces beautiful red flowers from late-spring to mid-summer. It is coastal and wind-hardy, making it an excellent choice for hedges and screens. While it is partially self-fertile, better crops are achieved when planted with any other feijoa cultivar. For optimal growth, plant in a sunny position with free-draining soil. Feijoa sellowiana is evergreen and native to the highlands of southern Brazil, eastern Paraguay, Uruguay, northern Argentina, and Colombia. Learn more about Feijoa sellowiana.
