Feijoa sellowiana ‘Den’s Choice’ produces medium to large fruit with outstanding flavor, typically harvested in mid to late-autumn. It also produces beautiful red flowers from late-spring to mid-summer. Feijoa sellowiana ‘Den’s Choice’ is coastal and wind-hardy, making it an excellent choice for hedges and screens. It is partially self-fertile, but better crops are achieved when planted with any other feijoa cultivar. Feijoa sellowiana is evergreen and native to the highlands of southern Brazil, eastern Paraguay, Uruguay, northern Argentina, and Colombia. ‘Den’s Choice’ was developed by Dennis Barton in New Zealand.
