Dodonaea viscosa

Dodonaea viscosa is a fast-growing, erect species that forms a bushy structure from the ground up. Its long, narrow leaves are a pale-green color. Dodonaea viscosa produces yellow-green to red-green flowers from late winter to mid-summer. It is an incredibly resilient species, capable of tolerating sub-zero temperatures, salt-laden winds, drought, and polluted atmospheres. As such, it is well-suited for screening and erosion control purposes. Dodonaea viscosa is evergreen and native to tropical, subtropical, and warm temperate regions of Africa, the Americas, southern Asia, and Australasia.
