Cornus florida ‘Cherokee Princess’

With its low-branching, broadly-pyramidal form, Cornus florida ‘Cherokee Princess’ is a striking addition to any landscape. Cornus florida is deciduous and native to eastern North America and northern Mexico. Cornus florida ‘Cherokee Princess’ was developed by Isaac J. Hawkersmith at his nursery, Ike Hawkersmith Nursery, near Sweetwater, Tennessee, United States in 1950. Isaac originally named Cornus florida ‘Cherokee Princess’ Cornus florida ‘Sno-White’, before changing the name to Cornus florida ‘Cherokee Princess’.
