Ripening from mid-winter to early-spring, Citrus grapefruit ‘Cutler’s Red’ boasts a large deep orange fruit with a sweet juicy flavour, and a touch of zing. This evergreen plant thrives in sunny locations with fertile, well-drained soil and benefits from adequate watering, especially in hot and dry summers. However, it can withstand temperatures down to -3C. Citrus grapefruit ‘Cutler’s Red’ originated from Kerikeri in the 1970’s, from the parent plant Citrus grapefruit that is native to Barbados.
