Apple
Apple ‘Liberty’ is an excellent choice for organic growers as it is highly resistant to black spot disease and requires little, if any, spraying. The fruit has a red blush, with a crisp, juicy, sweet-tart flavor, and Apple ‘Liberty’ is known to be a heavy bearer. The fruit becomes ripe from mid to late autumn, and in spring, the pink buds develop into white flowers. While Apple ‘Liberty’ is self-fertile, it is best to plant it with early-flowering cultivars such as Apple ‘Braeburn’ to achieve the best crop. Additionally, the fruit is an excellent keeper.
