Apple ‘Initial’
Apple
Apple ‘Initial’ produces a large red apple that is highly resistant to black spot disease. The fruit has excellent flavor, with low acidity, high sugar content, and a strong aroma. The fruit ripens from late summer to early autumn, while the pink buds develop into white flowers during spring. To ensure proper pollination, Apple ‘Initial’ requires cross-pollination from other cultivars such as Apple ‘Gala’, Apple ‘Golden Delicious’, Apple ‘Granny Smith’, Apple ‘Monty’s Surprise’, and Apple ‘Royal Gala’. Apple is deciduous and native to Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and China. Learn more about Apple.
