Apple ‘Initial’ produces a large red apple that is highly resistant to black spot disease. The fruit has excellent flavor, with low acidity, high sugar content, and a strong aroma. The fruit ripens from late summer to early autumn, while the pink buds develop into white flowers during spring. To ensure proper pollination, Apple ‘Initial’ requires cross-pollination from other cultivars such as Apple ‘Gala’, Apple ‘Golden Delicious’, Apple ‘Granny Smith’, Apple ‘Monty’s Surprise’, and Apple ‘Royal Gala’.
