Acer rubrum ‘Jeffersred’ produces large, green leaves during the spring and summer months. It then transitions to a stunning display of orange-red to scarlet-red leaves during the autumn season. Acer rubrum ‘Jeffersred’ has a vase-shaped growth habit and can be pruned to function as a narrow wind screen. It very rarely produces flowers, fruit, or seeds. Acer rubrum ‘Jeffersred’ thrives in moist, well-drained soil and full-sun conditions, but it is also capable of growing in a range of soils, including sandy, heavy clay, peat, dry, and poor-draining soil.
