Spring leaves are finely-cut and crimson-red in color. They turn purple-red in summer and scarlet in autumn. Acer palmatum var. dissectum ‘Tamukeyama’ is a vigorous, mound-forming grower. It prefers moist, well-drained soils but may suffer leaf scorch from excess sun, wind, and drought. It is cold hardy and great for bonsai.
