Acer palmatum var. dissectum ‘Palmatifidum’
Japanese Maple
This is a rounded tree with palmate, bright-green leaves that are divided into five deeply-lobed leaflets. During autumn, the leaves turn a beautiful mix of red, orange, and yellow. Acer palmatum var. dissectum ‘Palmatifidum’ prefers moist, well-drained soils, but excessive exposure to sunlight, wind, or drought may cause leaf scorching. Additionally, it is cold-hardy and an excellent option for bonsai enthusiasts. Acer palmatum is deciduous and native to Japan, Korea, China, eastern Mongolia, and southeast Russia.
