A rounded shrub or small tree with palmate, bright-green leaves divided into five deeply-lobed leaflets. Leaves turn red, orange, and yellow in autumn. Red-purple flowers in spring are followed by winged, red-flushed, green seed pods. Acer palmatum dissectum ‘Palmatifidum’ (Eagle Claw Maple) is a deciduous tree that grows at a moderate rate to reach approximately 3m in 10 years (graft height will determine the ultimate height).
