Magnolia stellata ‘Dawn’ is considered one of the best pink-flowering star magnolias. Its flowers are pink in bud, opening to a blush-pink color and fading to white-pink. The flowers have between 40 to 45 tepals and are a lighter pink shade than those of Magnolia stellata ‘Jane Platt’. Magnolia stellata ‘Dawn’ is a strong and vigorous grower, and it produces an abundance of flowers in early spring. Magnolia stellata is deciduous and native to Japan.
