Michelia ‘Melody’ is a stunning pyramidal grower. It produces large, broad, thickly-petalled, white flowers that open widely and cover the branches in late winter. The flowers are highly scented, providing an intoxicating fragrance. Michelia ‘Melody’ thrives in a sheltered garden that is free from late frosts. Michelia ‘Melody’ is evergreen and a hybrid between Michelia laevifolia and Michelia maudiae. Michelia ‘Melody’ is evergreen, not native to New Zealand, and was developed in New Zealand.
