Camellia ‘Ariel’s Song’ is a bushy grower that produces small, single, white flowers during the spring season. It makes for a great specimen or hedge. Camellia ‘Ariel’s Song’ has an upright, open growth habit with pendulous branches and light-green leaves typically measuring 9cm long by 3cm wide. The flowers are usually 4cm across by 2.5cm deep with five petals, featuring gold anthers on white filaments. Camellia ‘Ariel’s Song’ is evergreen, not native to New Zealand, and a hybrid between Camellia fraterna and Camellia tsaii. Camellia ‘Ariel’s Song’ was produced by A. B. Durrant in Rotorua, New Zealand and first flowered in 1973.
