This is an easily-grown, rounded tree that produces glossy leaves felted with grey underneath. During autumn, the leaves turn a vibrant orange-red, especially in warm, sunny weather. Quercus bicolor also produces acorns and can tolerate moist soils, making it suitable for growth on the edge of water.
