Acer palmatum var. dissectum ‘Viridis’
Japanese Maple
Acer palmatum var. dissectum ‘Viridis’ has delicate, lime-green foliage in the spring which darkens to mid-green during summer and turns a beautiful mix of gold and orange in autumn. Its branches have a pendulous, cascading form, creating a dome-shaped weeping appearance. It thrives in moist, well-drained soils but may suffer from leaf scorch due to excess sun, wind, or drought. It is cold hardy and makes a great choice for bonsai. Acer palmatum is deciduous and native to Japan, Korea, China, eastern Mongolia, and southeast Russia. Learn more about Acer palmatum.
